FurKid session two for the Promises for Pets Charity Event was with Taz.  It’s amazing how strong breed characteristics are.  Taz is a Keeshond…and true to form he spent our entire session time scanning the horizon.

2012 05 21 001 Storyboard | June Workshop

Have you seen the information for the June 2012 Workshop that I’m co-hosting with Nicole Cassano?

If your close and you haven’t already SIGN UP.  It’s going to be seriously awesome.  We are going to really get into the ‘guts’ of Expressive Photography….how to shoot the everyday experience from the heart.  We will be shooting indoors and outdoors and were going to show you how to rock out with any type of camera that you bring.  iPhone, Android, DSLR’s, Point and Shoots, Polaroid…If you want to learn to shoot better on it then bring it!  Also were going to have cameras that you can demo here as well.

Drum roll…..

And as a bonus….were going to do a shoot at the very end that is based on the above storyboard (hey….no snickering….I never said I was an expert at storyboarding or watercoloring…I’m a PHOTOGRAPHER).  When this beautiful old blue fireplace mantle showed up at my house after being rescued from a home demolition job, I was instantly inspired.  A tea party.  China. Flowers. Little girls.  Teddy Bears.  Dresses.  Sheets blowing in the breeze.  In the middle of an open field (in the middle of nowhere).  Oh yeah!  And the best part is…..we are going to share this experience with you.

Your going to take everything that you’ve learned throughout the day….and your going to come with us and shoot this beautiful little setting.  I can’t wait to share this experience with you and I know that Nicole is equally excited.

We can not WAIT to meet you in less then two weeks.

XO XO

P.S.  The fireplace mantle….it’s gorgeous….really.  It’s worth the price of admission alone.  Oh AND it’s gonna have a little bit of flickering flames…wait till you see how we pull that off.  Magic!

P.P.S.  For those curious I use an app called Paper by 53 for storyboarding.  I LOVE it!

2012 05 12 010 Christina & Andy

I had a great time as a second shooter to the uber talented Nicole Cassano 2 weeks past at Christina and Andy’s wedding.  We started at the brides great Pittsburgh apartment.  Then preceded to First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh where the wedding party did the final bit of preparation for the wedding.

The flowers carried by the Bride and Bridesmaids were AMAZING.  And by AMAZING….I mean A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.  They were created by Hens & Chicks.  They held up great throughout the whole day, looked stunning and photographed great.

2012 05 09 002 Lazy Afternoons

I’m so lucky to have a neighbor like Steve….not only does he have a beautiful cottage garden, hens that lay fresh eggs, and provides me with veges and fruit all summer…he’s my farrier.  So he is of great benefit to both the humans and horses that live here.  My niece and nephew started requesting a walk to Steves over a month ago.  It’s pretty hard to drive past his place and not want to stop.  Chicken and ducks pecking around in a riot of color.

We were able to spend some time with Steve on Friday afternoon.  And what seemed like only a few minutes turned into an hour and a half of visiting and posy picking.

Do you have a favorite place to visit that seems to make time stop?  A place that feels timeless?
